North Sun Trail Ultra
Come and sample some of Edmonton's pristine River Valley single track. 50km of punchy climbs and technical trails await, with enough runnable sections to make this a fast 50km. Don't underestimate this course though, the first 30km will beat you up with technical rooty sections and steep climbs & descents. The final 20km is more runnable, which can be a blessing or a curse....Weather is always variable in early June, it could be very hot, cold, or raining ( see rain route for rain plan), so being prepared for all conditions is a must. We will communicate any special weather plans if needed prior to the event.
You can expect a well flagged race course, aid stations every 10km, plus the best volunteers around dedicated to making your day a success.
North Sun Ultra Running Association is a non-for-profit group. All net proceeds are directed towards community organizations in Edmonton, Alberta.
We have both a 50km Ultramarathon option and a 30km trail running race.
